With more than 15 years of professional experience working in NASCAR, news media, education and municipal government, Thomas has learned that everyone has a story, and his team is eager to share yours with the world.

​OUR LEGACY

Hunter Thomas loves living life in the fast lane. Throughout the past 15 years, motorsports is where he has crafted his legacy, but by launching The Palmetto Agency, LLC, he's writing a new chapter, and the best is yet to come. Thomas has an immense passion for capturing stories. Breathing life into a brand, whether it be for an individual or a business, is what Thomas lives for.

MOTORSPORTS

 

Thomas' story begins at the grassroots level of motorsports. For more than a decade, he has traveled the country writing about race car drivers and their teams. His favorite part is capturing historical moments with a camera and sharing the incredible display of emotion with the world. It's in this environment, he truly learned that everyone has a story, and he has made it my mission to tell as many as possible.

In just two months of entering the industry back in 2010, he advanced his media career to the NASCAR level. At a young age, Thomas had made it to the largest stage in North American motorsports, and this is where he discovered his true capabilities. Working in a NASCAR media center is exhilarating. You never know who you're going to meet or what news may break.

​

The environment provided Thomas with the opportunity to learn how national news outlets capture and disseminate content. Taking photos just a few feet away from 40 race cars traveling at 200 mph has served as the cornerstone to his photography development as well. This niche experience is one that very few people get to experience, and he's excited to share his knowledge with you so that your brand can grab another gear and reach new heights.

While working in NASCAR, he has acquired the ability to succeed in environments that are tailored to high-profile individuals and celebrities. In addition to the action on the racetrack, Thomas has photographed concerts featuring top musical artists, and he has had to work within the perimeters of the United States Secret Service. Environments such as these are normal business for Thomas. In fact, this is where he absolutely thrives. If you're a high-profile individual, Thomas hopes this provides a level of comfort, and if you're a business owner looking to build upon your brand, then know that this level of experience helps his team think outside the box to elevate you even further.

EDUCATION

​​

​Thomas has also worked in education for more than a decade, serving as the Public Information Specialist at Florence-Darlington Technical College (FDTC) and the Marketing & Communications Manager at the South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics (GSSM). It's in these two environments where Thomas learned the ins and outs of a community.

​

He has written features, taken photos and crafted video content centered around students, faculty, staff, and donors, as well as industries, such as healthcare, welding, machine tool, heavy machinery, arts, aerospace, engineering, architecture, hydroponics, neuroscience, microbiology and environmental biology, chemistry, research and inquiry and the list just goes on.​​​ Content creation is just one aspect, and although it's a major one, it's only a piece of the bigger picture.

​

At FDTC and GSSM, Thomas also spearheaded marketing strategy and launched targeted advertising campaigns. Thomas and his teammates, while working with the various departments, helped FDTC earn its highest enrollment to date through impactful marketing strategies. At GSSM, Thomas and his team helped the high school reach its goals, and their highly strategic marketing efforts introduced hundreds of thousands of people to the brand. In fact, at GSSM, more than 8,000 K-12 students were impacted, and Thomas' team earned millions of digital impressions.

MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT

​​

In municipal government, Thomas has served as a spokesperson, told stories through written, photographic and video content, managed social media accounts, created marketing strategy and managed events, including a filming with the Food Network.

​​

ON A FINAL NOTE

Through all these life experiences, Thomas has seen just about everything. He knows what it's like to stand in front of a news camera and have to answer questions. He knows the pressure marketing professionals face when their leadership team is searching for answers. His past experiences have introduced him to a whole new world and have culminated to provide his team an opportunity to serve you.
